Plus X Brighton is an innovation hub in the centre of the city. Their members are digital and tech businesses — from solo founders to scale-ups. As both an employer and a community, Plus X has built a long-running partnership with Creative Process Digital to bring apprentices into the building and into the wider membership.
Championing local talent
Plus X chose CPD as its specialist digital apprenticeship provider because the model fits the way their members work: real projects, real teams, a Brighton classroom one day a week, employer-led learning the other four. Plus X members get a structured way to bring junior talent in without having to design a training programme themselves.
Two stories from the same building
Two of the apprentices placed at Plus X — Zachary Hyland and Emily Brackenfield — have their own case studies on this site. Zach came in as a filmmaker and now freelances for brands across the UK. Emily is mid-way through a digital marketing apprenticeship and working on Plus X's own local-impact projects.
Promoting the route to the wider membership
Beyond Plus X's own apprentices, the team actively promotes the CPD route across its membership base — opening up apprenticeship opportunities at some of the most exciting digital and tech businesses in Brighton. Members who'd never have run an apprenticeship before now have a clear, supported way in.
Plus X have hired a number of digital apprentices who have successfully completed their training and had amazing work experience opportunities. They have also promoted our programmes across their membership base, opening up high-value apprenticeship opportunities with some of the most exciting digital and tech businesses in the city.
