Overview

This is a deliberate step up from beginner bootcamps. We expect you can already write basic HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript — enough to build a static page. Over 8 weeks we take you from there to deploying a working full-stack application.

FAQ

Common questions

What level of coding do I need before applying?
You should be able to build a basic HTML/CSS page and write a JavaScript function. You don't need to have deployed anything or used a framework. We have a short pre-application coding check to confirm fit.
Is this enough to get a junior developer job?
It's enough to start applying. The market is competitive — what matters more than the bootcamp itself is your portfolio quality and how much you keep coding after the bootcamp ends. Our careers team helps.
Does it cover any AI / Claude / Copilot?
Yes — pair-programming with AI is integrated throughout, not a separate module. By the end you'll be using Claude or Copilot daily as part of your workflow.
How is this different from the Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship?
Bootcamp: 8 weeks, no employer, you fund yourself by being eligible for Skills Bootcamps. Apprenticeship: 24 months with a paid job at an employer, funded by the levy. Different products.
