FAQ

Common questions

Is three weeks really enough?
Enough to come out with a short film, working kit knowledge, and Premiere Pro fluency. Not enough to call yourself an experienced filmmaker — that needs time. But it's a credible entry-point.
Do I need to bring kit?
No. Lighthouse provides everything during the course. You may want to bring a portable hard drive for your project files.
Is this suitable for documentary?
Yes. Barry Atkins (our video lead) is a documentary filmmaker — week 3 final shorts often lean documentary in style.
Where do graduates end up?
Junior video roles at agencies and broadcasters, freelance production assistance, in-house content production teams. Some go into longer documentary projects.
