FAQ

Common questions

Is it really free?
Yes. The government pays our training fee directly (£2,250–£4,800 per individual depending on the course). You don't pay anything for the training. Travel and lunch is your own cost.
I'm currently working. Can I still apply?
Some courses allow employed people; others are jobseeker-priority. The accelerators (3-week full-time) generally aren't compatible with full-time work. The bootcamps (1 day a week over 8 weeks) can be. Apply and we'll match you to what fits.
What if I miss days?
Attendance matters — government funding requires it. Occasional unavoidable absences are fine if communicated. Sustained absence triggers a conversation about whether the course is the right fit.
Will you help me get a job afterwards?
Yes. We run a careers service: CV reviews, portfolio guidance, interview prep, employer intros, and alumni network access. Most graduates have at least one interview within 30 days of finishing.
Where are courses delivered?
In person at our Brighton Mac training centre (central Brighton, easy from the station). Video Accelerator runs from Lighthouse in Brighton & Hove. Employer Briefing Webinars are online only.
Do I need a laptop?
You are welcome to bring your own laptop — we also provide high-spec Macs in the training suite. The heavy work is all done on-site.
