What's an apprenticeship

A real job with training built in.

An apprenticeship is a job. You're employed full-time by a real business. You do the role day to day, with one day a month off-the-job at Creative Process learning the skills you need to do it better, plus 3 days per month of 1:1 tailored support and self study.

At the end of 14 months you have a nationally-recognised qualification, a portfolio of work, and — 92% of the time — a permanent job offer from your employer.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to find an employer first?
No. Apply to us first. We match you with employers in our network during the recruitment process. You can also bring your own employer if you've already lined one up.
How much will I earn?
Apprentice minimum wage is £8/hr in your first year. After that, full national minimum wage for your age. Most Creative Process employers pay above the minimum — typical Level 3 apprentice salaries are £18,000–£22,000.
Will I have time to study?
Yes. Your off-the-job day is protected by law — that's your study and training time, paid by your employer. You're not expected to study outside work hours, though most apprentices do some independent practice.
What if I don't like my employer?
First, talk to us — we mediate. If the placement genuinely isn't working, we help you transition to a different employer in our network. You stay on the apprenticeship.
What qualification do I get?
A nationally-recognised apprenticeship certificate at Level 3 (equivalent to A-Levels) or Level 4 (equivalent to first year of a degree / HNC). Plus the specific industry qualifications relevant to your trade.
Can I do this if I already have a degree?
Yes, as long as you're moving into a different field or substantially new role. Many of our apprentices have degrees in unrelated subjects and are using the apprenticeship to switch career.
