Emily came out of a Waldorf Steiner education with a clear sense of purpose — and went looking for work that would let her live it. She found that work at Plus X Brighton, an innovation hub focused on positive local impact, on a digital marketing apprenticeship delivered with Creative Process.
A holistic start
Emily's school years were spent in Waldorf Steiner education — an inclusive, holistic approach centred on individualism. It gave her time and space to work out who she was from an early age, and to land on a personal mission: to be a change-maker, someone who shows up when others need a hand.
Choosing the apprenticeship route
A digital marketing apprenticeship gave Emily real client work alongside structured learning. The CPD model — one classroom day a week, four working days at Plus X — meant she was producing real campaigns from week one, not just studying theory.
Working at a values-aligned employer
Plus X exists to back local talent and local businesses. For Emily, that mission match mattered: a workplace whose day job is improving lives in Brighton is a workplace where her purpose lines up with the brief on her desk.
Working for a company that is a pioneer for changing lives through focusing on local impact is a dream come true. My journey at Plus X is extremely exciting and I feel privileged to be at the heart of this fantastic opportunity.
