Overview

Twelve weeks of video production, taught from Lighthouse — the long-standing Brighton & Hove arts venue. Full studio kit, real edit suites, working filmmakers as tutors.

By week 12 you've crewed on each other's projects, shot a portfolio piece, and learned the workflows that get content from camera to delivered file. This bootcamp is the practical sibling to our Content Creator apprenticeship — same skills, different funding route.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need my own camera?
No. Lighthouse provides full kit during the course. For homework you may need to use your phone, but the main shoots are with professional kit.
How is this different from the Video Accelerator?
Video Accelerator is 3 weeks full-time and faster-paced. Video Skills Bootcamp is 12 weeks part-time, deeper, and includes more sound and lighting depth. Different products for different schedules.
Is it suitable for video editing-only people?
Yes — the editing weeks (7–9) are a substantial chunk of the bootcamp. But you'll also do the production weeks, which makes you better at editing too.
Where is Lighthouse?
Central Brighton & Hove, easy walk from Brighton station. Fully accessible building.
