Apprenticeships

Case Study |

Scott Law

Ambitious Digital Marketing Apprentice Scott has recently completed his apprenticeship with I2W and has now been offered a full time SEO role!

Why did you decide to apply for an apprenticeship?

For me, the main appeal of an apprenticeship was the opportunity  to combine traditional classroom learning with on-the-job experience  working alongside industry professionals.

How has your apprenticeship given you a real head start in your career?

The insight that I’ve been able to gain by working alongside my talented colleagues has allowed me to develop my skills and knowledge of the industry at a much faster rate than traditional learning would typically offer.

Tell me about your job role and what you loved the most?

My role is predominantly made up of both client and affiliate SEO. I love the flexibility ofbeing able to work from my laptop and on projects that I’m genuinely passionate about.

What opportunities did doing an apprenticeship give you?

The list is endless, but the opportunity to travel to Thailand to attend and take part in the Chiang Mai SEO 2019 event is by far the most memorable.

What advice would you give to an employer considering hiring a digital apprentice?

An apprentice will bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to the table. In turn, it often leads to innovation and ignites a productive, collective passion within the team.

If you had to use one sentence to describe your apprenticeship what would it be?

Without being overly dramatic, probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
