Why did you decide to apply for an apprenticeship?

I decided to apply for apprenticeship as I felt that it would be best to learn digital marketing
through practical work rather than going to University, and so I could get started in the career I wanted to pursue

Tell me about your job role and what you loved the most?

In my job I manage our social media presence, promote events, and establish future marketing plans. I most enjoy creating posts for our social media, as this is creative and engaging work, and I also love being at events and being able to chat with the general public.

How has your apprenticeship given you a real head start in your career?

For me, my apprenticeship has given me a real head start in my career – I have been able to learn quickly both on the job and in the classroom and have gained a hands-on insight into digital marketing.

What opportunities did doing an apprenticeship give you?

Doing an apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to learn on the job whilst still being guided by my tutor – I have now been offered a full-time role at my workplace and thanks to my training I feel fully prepared for my role.

What advice would you give to an employer considering hiring a digital apprentice?

I think employers should consider hiring apprentices as the best way to actively learn is through a job role, and it gives a company the opportunity to grow their marketing alongside their apprentice.

If you had to use one sentence to describe your apprenticeship what would it be?

An invaluable head start into digital marketing with amazing tutors that can lead to a fantastic job opportunity.
